Just Because You Can Carry Concealed, Doesn't Mean You Should.

Acquiring you're CCW or conceal carry permit comes with a GREAT deal of responsibility. The decision to procure a CCW should never be taken lightly, especially if you plan to carry a firearm everywhere you go. You need to make sure that when the time comes and you draw that weapon, that you are 100% ready and competent to follow through with that action. You need to have a mindset that resides in a calm analytical state at all times while being armed.

Just because you have a gun on your side doesn't give you super hero powers. I can equate this to those drunk people who get the good ole beer muscles when they have had a few to many and try to make mountains out of mole hills. Having said that, you are way better off walking away from those types while in an armed condition to avoid any temptation of getting involved.

Don't be a target for criminals, and learn where and how to carry you're firearm for maximum effectiveness. The last thing you want to do in a hostile situation is stick out like a sore thumb. That just gets you dead faster. You will see in an illustration below that shows a few pointers in spotting an individual who is carrying a firearm. After a while, you will start to notice little things that people do while armed. I have to admit I catch myself telegraphing the fact that I am carrying at times, myself. I am conscience some times while doing it, but other times its a matter of being uncomfortable and need to adjust my holster.

Having and using a CCW is NOT for all people by any means. If you are considering it, you need to have a gut check and a deep conversation with yourself and you're family, because it affects all who surround you.

Don't let people talk you into anything you don't feel comfortable with. Additionally, buy what fits you and not what others say you need.....
