Gun Control Epic Fails

I actually heard someone say the following: "Every time gun control has been tried, it has been successful." I am not sure where they got this mis-information, as they could produce no evidence to support their claim. So I thought maybe the next time someone said the same to you, you could provide solid evidence to the contrary. The following is from an article written by Jay Sitrikin of “Jews for the Preservation of Firearms”.

1. The Soviet Union established gun control in 1929. From 1929 to 1953, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
2. Turkey established gun control in 1911. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
3. Germany established gun control in 1928. From 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, mentally ill people, the elderly, and other "mongrelized peoples," unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
4. China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
5. Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
6. Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 defenseless Christians were rounded up and exterminated.
7. Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, 1 million "educated people," unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

He also shows that Afghanistan had zero gun control laws prior to the Soviet invasion in December of 1979. By comparison, they were a backwoods people with no real military to speak of. Yet all of their citizens were armed. They were able to thwart the entire Soviet threat as a result of their citizens being armed. In 1989, after 10 years of getting their butts handed to them, the Soviets had enough and withdrew. Genocide had been prevented. 

Here is a quote from Adolph Hitler - "1935 will go down in history! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead into the future!" That did not work out too well for us, did it?
